Who Needs To Use This Updater?

Check the version number of your copy of CalendarMaker. To do this, open CalendarMaker, then pull down the Apple menu and select "About CalendarMaker...". The About box will give you the version number. If you have version 4.5 or 4.5.1 this updater will convert it to version 4.5.2.

If your version is earlier than 4.5, you need to purchase the upgrade from us. Call 1-800-346-5392 between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Central Time to order your upgrade to CalendarMaker version 4.5.2.

Using the Updater

1- Close CalendarMaker, if it is open.

2- The downloaded file should be named CalendarMaker Updater.smi. Double-clicking this application will mount a self mounting image named CalendarMaker Updater.

3- Double-click the CalendarMaker 4.5.2 Updater icon to launch the program. The program will search your hard drive for CalendarMaker. A dialog box will appear with CalendarMaker highlighted.

NOTE: If other versions of CalendarMaker exist on your computer, the updater may locate them instead. Use the buttons and the pop-up menu to locate and select the listing for the version 4.5 or 4.5.1 of CalendarMaker.

4- Click the "Update" button. In a few moments, a message will appear stating that the update was successful. Click the "OK" button. The old CalendarMaker will be moved to the Trash. Empty the trash.

NOTE: If you get a message stating that the update was not successful, the CalendarMaker application probably has been altered by someone using ResEdit. To upgrade to version 4.5.2, first install version 4.5 or 4.5.1 from your original CalendarMaker disk as described in the CalendarMaker manual, then use the CalendarMaker 4.5.2 Updater program.

We expect most anti-viral software will allow the changes being made by the updater program, but many different anti-viral programs exist and more become available all the time. If your anti-viral software complains about the updater, restart your Mac holding down the Shift key to disable the anti-viral software, then follow steps 1 through 4 above.
